Questions, answered
What is a credit?
Credits are how you unlock leads. Previews are free; unlocking a permit reveals the full address, job value, scope of work, business contacts listed on the permit and a link to the official record. A shared unlock costs 2–4 credits depending on the job's value, and the price drops as a lead ages (×0.75 after 3 days, ×0.5 after 7, ×0.25 after 14; never below 1 credit).
What's the difference between shared and exclusive?
A shared lead can be unlocked by up to 3 buyers, so you'll know competition is capped. An exclusive unlock costs 3× the shared price and is only available while no one else has unlocked the lead. Once you buy it exclusively, no one else can.
What if a lead has bad data?
If an unlocked lead has a verifiable data error (the business or project doesn't exist, it's a duplicate, or it's the wrong trade or area), request a credit-back within 7 days of unlocking. Approved requests return the credits to the same bucket they came from. Credit-backs are capped at 15% of your unlocks per month.
Do credits expire?
Plan credits are granted each billing period and expire at the end of it. Top-up credits, which you buy separately on a paid plan, never expire while your account is open. Free-plan welcome credits are valid for 90 days. Credits have no cash value.
Where does the data come from?
From public records: official open-data building-permit feeds published by the cities we cover (Austin, Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus, Denver, Los Angeles, Louisville, Minneapolis, New Orleans, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington). We normalize, de-duplicate, classify and score them. We keep business contacts only; we don't publish homeowner or individual names. Records are provided as-is from each city, so always verify details before you bid.
